Dr. Kirsten Murphy

Dr. Murphy here, wow, I have been working with Yolo Veterinary Clinic for eight and a half years now! I am a UC Davis vet school graduate, class of 2000. I have been practicing small animal medicine since that time, the bulk of my time currently spent performing dental and surgical procedures for your pets here at YVC. I have had a strong interest in veterinary dentistry since I started practice, and have gained a LOT of experience over the years. It is very gratifying to provide often immediate relief to my patients after extracting painful, infected teeth.

In my free time, I share time with my husband Brian, koolie dog Nene, two kitties Limpet and Mr. Biscuit, and a small flock of backyard hens who amuse me to no end. If you see a red sidecar roaring around the region, that's me, Brian and Nene- exploring northern California backroads together is our latest passion.

Hi there! My name is Gamen (like the game backgammon) and I graduated from UC Davis in 2019 with a degree in Animal Science and a minor in Wildlife, Fish, & Conservation Biology. Before joining Yolo Veterinary Clinic, I used to be a veterinary volunteer at Berkeley Humane Society and Yolo County Animal Services. I also worked closely with the vets at the UCD Comparative Pathology Lab, which definitely solidified my career goal of becoming a veterinarian and hopefully pursuing a specialization in pathology. Away from work, I love spending time with my Shiba Inu dog Bart and my cow cat Sir Catone, whether it be exploring out in nature or snuggling at home on the couch.

Hi! My name is Kaitlin and I’m one of the vet assistants here at Yolo! I am currently pursuing a B.S in Animal Science with a minor in Spanish from U.C Davis in hopes of being a veterinarian. I have a French Bulldog named Teddy, and two cats named Pumpkin and Baloo. When I’m not at work I love to play volleyball, make coffee, and travel!

Dr. George McClung

Dr. McClung received his degree from the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine, and completed a rotating internship in small animal medicine and surgery at San Francisco Veterinary Specialists the following year. There he fostered his interests in preventative medicine as well as clinical medicine and neurology. He has three dogs who love the outdoors, and four cats, who don't.

Hi everyone and welcome to Yolo Veterinary Clinic! My name is Elise and I am a student at UC Davis studying Animal Science and Asian American Studies. Currently, I am a History Intern at the Bulosan Center for Filipino Studies, a Nursery Intern with the Putah Creek Council, a Veterinary Assistant for Yolo Veterinary Clinic, a Client Services Student Filer at the UC Davis Veterinary Medical Teaching Hospital, and a Veterinary Assistant for two student-run clinics: Mercer Clinic for the Homeless and Knights Landing One Health Center. As you can tell, I definitely found my passions in life: growing plants, being an activist, and working with animals! In my spare time, I enjoy traveling and exploring new places. I've been to Greece, Costa Rica, Thailand, Mexico, the Philippines, New Zealand, Australia, and nine islands in the Caribbean. I love Yolo Vet because everyone treats each other like family. It's definitely my second home. I hope you love it here as much as I do!
